Starlee and I have been working on a series of animated shorts reviewing various things for a website named L Studio. In this episode we review Season 4, of LOST. I will post more soon. We are really proud of these and hope you like them.

In other news Starlee was in the New York Times recently talking about her favorite internet moment of the year, Christian the Lion

W I R E T A P Part II

The hits keep coming from Wiretap. Jonathan talked to Starlee and Ruby a while ago and they sure were charming . Listen to it here.  Over the radio/internet you can't hear just how red Ruby's hair is. Ruby, Come back to New York – Starlee's dog needs a walk and I need someone to update this blog! Help!

W I R E T A P

Jonathan Goldstein does a fantastically entertaining radio program called Wiretap for the CBC. A couple of weeks ago Starlee and I were on his post-Obama-landslide-election show. Listen to it here. In August Jonathan joined us for a show at Bumbershoot in Seattle, which was awesome. I will post his story on the site soon. Jonathan seems to look slightly scared in this photo or perhaps he is transfixed by a shiny object that it is just out of frame.

Chris Duhon has a penis shaped nose

This NBA season has been a weird one. A lot of disappointments around the league but the biggest has to be the sad slow skid the Pistons are on since the Iverson/Billups trade. Why is T-Prince bringing up the ball? Why is Rip shooting like the ball is made out of a hardened, shellacked turd? Last night they lost to the Knicks and worst of all they let Chris Duhon pick them apart for 48 minutes. Chris Duhon is terrible. Last spring, when he left the Bulls I didn't think he'd play in America again. I assumed he'd be in Russia, or the Philippines, or some place where prostitution is legal and the drinks are cheap. The last two years in Chicago he was a benchwarmer who played unreliably. He seemed more excited about giving lap dances at bachelorette parties than running the point. But now in New York he's tearing it up playing in their fast-paced slop-ball style. Pffftttt.... totally... pfffttt....

Vote 2008

The best thing about MTV's Subterranean is that it makes you nostalgic for MTV's 120 minutes. Ahhh... the early 90's, breath it in. Subterranean put up a year end poll and feel free to vote for the video I made with my friend Zander for the band Man Man. True story: I had to remove the controversial word "Tits" from a poster in the background of the video to make is suitable for broadcast. The incident was like my own little version of "nipplegate".

Updating blogs suck and I'm no good at it.

Today is my birthday. I am 34. When I was 14 I imagined myself as becoming a pretty awesome 24 year old. I thought I'd probably own a cool car and live in a house full of cool stuff like that house on Silver Spoons with a pinball machine and a huge model choo choo train I could ride from my living room to dining room. But teenage dreams fade and when I was 24 I could barely afford a burrito so I postponed my dreamlife until I was 34 and well now... shit. The least I can do is update this blog and post this photoshop collage I made as a personal celebration for myself. I'm going to try a number of self improvements in my 34th year, like eating less bacon, remembering to take off my glasses before I get into the shower and calling my Mom more than once every two months. Another thing I'm going to do is update this blog. Wtf, right?Totally. There are hundreds of thousands of dead blogs on blogger perhaps even thousands of millions. Rather than letting this one die a pathetic, slow motion death I'm going to dedicate myself to updating it on occation. I'm sure you are all excited about this as I am, right? Like Jay Z said, 30 is the new 20 and I guess conversely 34 is the new 24.

Im blood, flesh and bones real.

Hello, I am Ruby, the intern. I am bad at grammar and punctuation. I am currently in Starlee's apartment, in an unusually un-muggy day. I am currently picking at the Goji Berry Trail Mix Blend Starlee allowed me to eat, and i find myself avoiding the small salmon colored Goji berries entirely. I hate trail mix for that reason alone, you have to pick at it to truly enjoy it. Its never a party pleaser, consider this: a thirteen year old's birthday party in his backyard, upon a lovely table cloth lay trays of "organic snacks" his liberal mother keenly advised him and all of his pubescent friends to enjoy. Between the carrot sticks, the organic Oreos, the sliced apples and the trail mix, the trail mix would be the least desirable. Because its never perfect. You always have to fish for what you want, the hearty blend of nuts and dried preserves are never entirely harmonious together. Why? I will never know.(my rant) But yes i am picking at this Goji Berry Blend Trail Mix, relishing in the fact i am not hot for the first time in a week. What a lovely feeling to be content with your pickings of trail mix AND your body temperature, what a day!
Its lovely to be
starlees intern, Arthur's away on "creative leisure."Starlees too busy to notice me sneaking out of my cage once in a while and hitting Bedford avenue for some bread and coffee. I haven't been intellectually stimulated recently unfortunately ever since I have had post-partum depression after finishing Bell Jar.... or maybe its just depression. I speed read through Letters To A Young Poet and am currently reading Joan Diddion, but something about the dank sadness of Plath cuddled me into a dark, plush euphoria of sorts... maybe that's a bit too dramatic. But it was a lovely book that I thoroughly enjoyed. Anyways im still chuggin' along, interning.

Hello, I am the intern.

Yes i am the intern, Ruby. Its cold here, which is nice compared to the rest of the city this time of day, i mean i don't know what time it is, they shut of the clock on my computer. And today they gave me two pieces of bread, its nice. I also walked the dog today, and took him to the park as the rest of the dog owner gawked at me for reading Sylvia Plath, maybe they just thought it was funny. I can't find it now, Arthur took it away from me and burned it after he found it in my bag. Well, anyway today at the dog park i took Starlee's dog Oh Papa to the park, he rolled in dirt and barked at me when i told him we should leave, i got tired in the noon heat and decided to sit back down with my copy of the Bell Jar. Suddenly a walking silky pillow walked up to me, i didn't know the breed because i am NOT a dog person, Starlee wants me to be one, I am easing up to it. Well, anyway, this peach tinted dog nesstled my leg face down in the dirt i started to pet her until she looked at me. This dog owned eyelashes the length of my pinky and the color Ru-Pauls infamous orange wig. The dog looked like Ru-Paul, but sweeter, more like Ru-Paul's dog that got lost in the depths of Mister Rogers fantasy town. It frightened me, and accendently i said it out loud. The talk lumbering woman in an indigo curve-hugging jersy dress and gold acrylics i suppose wasn't happy. I mean the female Ru-Paul owned the walking pillow, it was awkward but, bearable, but the muggy heat wetted my brown miserably, so i decided that was my exit. Afterall, the intern must return at some point. (half-hearted giggle) Anyways, Arthur told me to post some youtube link or some flickr picture, so the first pictures are of my cat and myself, (the words are links).

Have a lovely day or night (i can't tell the difference in this basment)
Ruby
